The Needy Fund is all about neighbors helping neighbors.

Thousands of individuals, businesses and civic organizations make it possible, through their generous donations, for the Needy Fund to help as many as 2000 households each year.  Our services include payments for mortgage, rent, medicine, food, childcare, heat, electricity, shelter, transportation and even special requests such as leg braces for children or assistive technology for individuals with disabilities.  The Needy Fund also has a camp scholarship program and provides gifts for children during the winter holiday season. 

Over the last two years, the Needy Fund has provided peace of mind to Cape Cod residents in the following ways:

• 254 Cars kept on the road to work
• 150 Families continue to own their own homes
• 136 Households heated with gas
• 30 Childcare bills paid so parents had a safe place for their children with they work
• 104 Oil or propane tanks filled
• 191 Families bought meat, vegetable & fruits not available at food pantries
• 252 Families kept their lights on
• 92 Uninsured or underinsured individuals received medical care or medicine
• 710 Families received rental assistance and did not become homeless
• 400 Children went to camp whose parents would otherwise not be able to afford to send them
• 659 Children had Christmas gifts
• 452 Other individuals and families helped with temporary shelter, other utilities, clothing, educational expenses, home repairs, moving expenses and many other urgent needs.
